I hooked up with Femi a while ago through my involvement in Nigerian football and I was immediately taken to the man. Purposeful, direct and had a good head on him. There is a technicality, kinda like a method he applies to basic things, even conversations, almost feels like its all calculated. When he called me up seeking proposal ideas, it was still good old Femi, calculated, sure, confident in his choice and the journey ahead. Meeting Ibukun told me why Femi was so sure, she is fire.

Their story of meeting on a train and sitting next to each other is a beautiful one. Ibukun had a dental appointment in Ibadan and Femi had a friends introduction to attend. Two complete strangers bound as seat partners on a train ride, riding to forever together, Hollywood's greatest movie.

There is this funny thing that happens when an incoming bride or groom is around the family of their intended. It is at times comical, the carefulness with which they step. Ibukun was with Femi's family at a recent family function I covered and I had a bit of time to witness Ibukun alone with the Femi's sister and her friends and it was not awkward, it was not forced, she was not walking on broken glass, she seemed at home, in place and I was slightly jealous for a minute.

Shooting weddings is bliss for me. I love shooting weddings, being a guest at these weddings, totally immersed in its proceedings, living in the love they share and the moments that will stay with them till eternity. When Ibukun broke the ice on that fateful train ride, it was casual, almost almost for conversation sake. That moment has birthed a bond, a union, a love story that keeps filling its own pages on the sands of time. To Mr and Mrs Falako.
