Picking captions at times are the hardest things when I write stories about couples we shoot but this caption stood out and was kind of easy to get. I travelled with the team to Awka, Anambra State, for this and the traditional wedding was a mini carnival but of course all weddings are. What stood out for me through it all was Kenji sticking through it, telling Esther its fine and enjoying the hell out of the day (Esther's horse tail is another story)
Esther practically brightens the room with her smile and agreeable personality. The first time I met Esther was a day to her traditional wedding and the team felt as if we have known her forever. I mean we were having discussions about everything with the bride and makeup artists, we even got a chance to argue her bead choice (amazing right?)

Mazi Kenji basically became Nigerian, downright straight to the point, political, firm but extremely loving and accommodating. One thing was obvious, these guys were completely taken with each other and thats all that truly matters.
Their white wedding was a movie. It featured amazing makeup, a wedding dress to die for, a little lateness to church, sprinkle a little Lagos traffic, a smashing bridal party, unorthodox MC games, a local Haitian drink knocked the guests out and Kenji did a split ( yap you read that right).
When Luke called to set this wedding in motion for us it pretty much came across like every other regular wedding. The reception however was not a regular reception. Mario Comedian ,the event MC made sure the wheels came off while the Haitian local brew took care of the remaining layers of resistance. Esther dances, like really dances and she basically had her crew doing dance offs with her mid-event (I told you it was a carnival).
If I want to reshoot another wedding reception, I will love to shoot this wedding reception again.
